The Real Story
When you have experiences, you tell it in a story. You tell it with the feelings of how you felt during that specific moment in time. And you explain how it makes you feel in the present tense. What you tell people is your story of what happened. And it is real to you. What if I told you that story you tell and remember, YOUR story, isn't real at all?
I learned this recently. And I am still learning this, as it is a completely foreign concept. My story is MY STORY. End. Finito. And my story is always right. Right? My story makes me right and everyone wrong.
WRONG
Your story of a situation can be completely different than someone else that experienced the exact same thing. Yes. This is completely true. And, you just might be wrong...... or maybe half right. Only you create the meanings you give to your experiences.
"Your mind is always seeking to understand every aspect of your life. Past present and future. You recognize your understanding is not based upon what actually happened but based upon your past conditioning of how you perceived the situation. Non supportive stories create resistance within you supportive stories create positive results" -College of Professional Hypnotherapy
The real question to all of this is if you actually understand the difference between story and truth. And the truth is, my story is NOT REAL. And, your story isn't real either.
So to deal with todays (and yesterdays) experiences, it is important to remember that your words are powerful. Remember you will continually learn and grow. And so will everyone else. Life happens and we all grow at different rates. Those who blast off saying untruths to hurt you only speak from their own story. Let it be their story. Don't take it on. Don't ever take it personally.
Everyone has the ability to change. Everyone has the ability to see truth beyond their own stories.
Remember to do what you say and say what you do. Believe in you and what you do. Fix your stuff. and if you cant fix them ask for help. Take responsibility for actions that hurt others. Be better and move on.
I am perfect just as I am. Why do I know this? I know this because others stories aren't mine. People create stories about me because it makes them feel good. I will progress as I wish and how I should. No one has the right to say otherwise.
To those who knew me, and those who know me, I am me. I am growing. And you should too. Bless.
